                               RESOLUTION NO. 19079
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   TUESDAY, JULY 23, 1991 AND WEDNESDAY, JULY
                   24, 1991 FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE "SIXTH
                   NIGHT" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE RIVER
                   CITY COMPANY.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the following streets:  Broad Street between 

       8th Street and 11th Street, Market Street between 8th Street and
       11th Street, Georgia Avenue between M. L. King Boulevard and 11th 

       Street, M. L. King Boulevard between Cherry Street and Chestnut
       Street, 10th Street between Columbia Street and Broad Street and
       northbound Columbia Street between 10th Street and 11th Street
       from 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 1991 until 1:00 a.m. on
       Wednesday, July 24, 1991 for the presentation of "Sixth Night"
       under the sponsorship of the River City Company provided that the 

       sponsors shall set out and pick up all flasher barricades and
       traffic signs in accordance with the traffic control plan 
attached
       hereto and shall provide at all times, an access lane for
       emergency vehicles.
